Academic Integrity and Publication Ethics Policy

 The editorial board follows international ethical standards for scientific publications, which include principles of integrity, confidentiality, publication oversight, and disclosure of potential conflicts of interest, among others.
 In its activities, the editorial board adheres to the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Publishing Ethics Resource Kit of Elsevier, and the Law of Ukraine “On Academic Integrity”.
 The editorial board follows the following rules for maintaining publication ethics:
 - adherence to the core principles of the journal: scientific rigor, objectivity, professionalism, and support for the most significant innovative research;
 - unconditional respect for all participants of the creative process involved in the publication;
 - application of double-blind peer review and involvement of objective and competent reviewers;
 - continuous advisory support for authors aimed at meeting the requirements of international databases regarding the formatting and content of submitted materials for publication.
Publication decision-making
 The editorial board makes decisions regarding the publication of submitted articles. It is guided by the journal’s policy, based exclusively on academic merit and reviewers’ conclusions. The editorial board adheres to rules concerning defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.
 Editors must not use unpublished information in their own research without the written consent of the author. Editors must take appropriate decisions when handling ethical complaints regarding submitted manuscripts.
 Editors of the journal evaluate the intellectual content of manuscripts regardless of the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, origin, citizenship, or political preferences.
Confidentiality
 The editorial board does not disclose information about submitted manuscripts (authors, topics, texts, etc.). Any manuscript received for review is treated as a confidential document. The editor and editorial board undertake not to disclose information about submitted manuscripts without necessity, except to authors, reviewers, other scientific consultants, and the publisher.
Conflict of interest resolution
 Unpublished materials must not be used in any research by editors, reviewers, or other persons without the written consent of the authors.
 Editors, reviewers, and scientific consultants must recuse themselves from manuscript evaluation in case of conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with authors, companies, or organizations related to the manuscript.
 The editorial board undertakes to take appropriate measures in cases of conflicts or claims related to manuscripts or published materials.
 The journal may address complaints or concerns regarding misconduct in research or publication raised by readers, reviewers, or other parties. In addition, the publisher reserves the right to inform readers about the resolution of such cases.
Ethical requirements for research involving humans, animals, and data
 The journal adheres to national and international ethical standards in scientific research and requires mandatory compliance with appropriate procedures when research involves humans, animals, their biological materials, or personal or confidential data.
 In such cases, authors must obtain an appropriate approval (permission) from an authorized body-particularly an ethics (bioethics) committee or other competent authority in accordance with current legislation of Ukraine.
 For studies involving humans, authors must confirm the obtaining of voluntary informed consent from participants and ensure compliance with confidentiality and personal data protection principles.
 Research involving animals must be conducted in accordance with ethical standards of humane treatment of animals and relevant national and international regulations.
 All articles containing results of such research must include information about ethical approval (name of institution, approval number, and date) or a justified explanation if such approval was not required.
 The editorial office reserves the right to reject a manuscript in case of non-compliance with these requirements or lack of appropriate ethical justification.
Duties of the editorial board:
 - to maintain respectful and fair treatment of authors and their scientific work, ensure editorial confidentiality, and prevent any unfair practices in handling manuscripts;
 - not to independently edit the author’s text without approval; the final version must be agreed with the authors after editorial corrections;
 - to reject manuscripts that lack scientific value, do not match the journal’s scope, violate editorial policy, contain plagiarism, or have been previously published elsewhere;
 - to ensure the involvement of objective and competent reviewers and apply double-blind peer review practice.
Duties of reviewers:
 - to evaluate all manuscripts impartially;
 - to adhere to the review deadlines established by the editorial board;
 - to treat the manuscript as a confidential document and not share it with others; reviews must also remain confidential;
 - not to use data from the manuscript;
 - to provide objective, well-reasoned, and accurate evaluations of research results.
 Reviewers must immediately notify the editorial board if they identify any conflict of interest related to the author’s identity. If the manuscript is outside the reviewer’s area of expertise, they must promptly inform the editorial board.
 Reviewers are obliged to report any suspected scientific misconduct as well as any other violations of publication ethics referred to in these guidelines.
Duties of authors:
 - to ensure the novelty, reliability, and originality of research results;
 - to properly cite all sources used, with accurate references to original works;
 - to avoid excessive borrowing, plagiarism in any form, and self-plagiarism;
 - to guarantee that the article is original and has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
 By submitting materials for publication, authors agree that, if accepted, their work may be included in electronic databases with mandatory attribution of authorship and full preservation of copyright.
 All external sources must be properly cited in the text, including previously published works of the authors. Authors are obliged to correctly format quotations and references.
 If authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in a publication, they must inform the editor and cooperate to correct them as soon as possible.
 If the editor receives information from a third party about significant errors, the author is obliged to withdraw or correct the work promptly.
Authorship statement
 The editorial board assumes that all authors agree with the content of the article, have given explicit consent for its publication, and have obtained approval from the responsible institution/organization where the research was conducted prior to submission.

 - prepared the manuscript or critically revised it for important intellectual content;
 - approved the final version for publication;
 - agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work, ensuring that issues related to accuracy or integrity of any part are properly investigated and resolved.
