Formation of sunflower productivity depending on the influence of hybrid composition and complex fertilizers

Kurach O. V.

The paper presents the results of a study on the effects of hybrid composition and foliar application of complex fertilizers on sunflower productivity formation. The aim of the study was to improve the elements of an intensive, environmentally safe technology for sunflower cultivation under the conditions of the Western Forest-Steppe, ensuring the maximum realization of the crop’s biological potential. The study was conducted at the experimental field of the Institute of Agriculture of Western Polissya (2024–2025). It was found that in the untreated variants (control) variants when threshing sunflower baskets, the seed weight was less than 50,6 g. Meanwhile, under the system of foliar fertilization with the complex fertilizer Humifrend (potassium humate) (0.2 l/ha) and the organo-mineral fertilizer Helprost (1 l/ha) at the 3–4 and 5–6 leaf stages of the Noduvlyak hybrid, the seed weight from the baskets was 60.5 g and 52.7 g, respectively, which exceeded the control (untreated) by 19.6% and 4.2%. The number of seeds per basket was 1.234 and 1.054, surpassing the control by 12,3% and 10.8%. The thousand-seed weight was the highest at 47.7 g and 49.2 g, while the lowest values of this indicator were observed in the untreated control variant, amounting to 46.6 g and 47.6 g, respectively. The study showed that the highest sunflower yield during the research period was observed in the hybrids Hoduvalnyk and Huslyar, reaching 3.39 and 2.78 t/ha, respectively, which was 12.1–12.6% higher than the control, under the condition of two foliar applications of the organo-mineral fertilizer Helprost (1 l/ha) at the 3–4 and 5–6 leaf stages. As a result of the research, the technology of growing sunflower in the conditions of the Western Forest-Steppe was improved, which provides for mineral fertilizer in a dose of N60P30K90 in combination with two-time foliar feeding with organo-mineral fertilizer Khelprost (1 l/ha) in the phase of 3–4 and 5–6 leaves, which will ensure the yield of the hybrids Hodovulkan and Guslyar – 3.39 t/ha and 2.78 t/ha
